WORKSHOPS

I work with studios, creative teams, organisations and educational institutions across animation, games, film and illustration.

Through workshops and project reviews, I help teams strengthen visual storytelling, make clearer design decisions and develop a shared visual language. I also support educational institutions with curriculum development and programme review.

​

Drawing on my experience in art direction, directing and university teaching, I tailor each engagement to the project and participants.

 

Workshops are available in English and German.

​Cinematic Visual Storytelling

I help teams strengthen the way a story is communicated visually, from the composition of a single shot to the rhythm and emotional progression of a full sequence.

​

Depending on the needs of the team or project, we can work on:
 

  • Applying cinematic language across animation, games, film and illustration

  • Rhythm, tension and sequence development

  • Composition, staging and directing attention

  • Mood and emotional impact through lighting, colour and value structure
     

The workshop can use existing project material or focus on developing the team’s visual storytelling skills.

Visual Design and Concept Art

I help teams develop stronger visual ideas and make clearer, more purposeful design decisions.
 

Depending on the project, we can work on:
 

  • Defining the visual direction of a project

  • Connecting design decisions to story, mood and function

  • Developing consistent characters, environments and visual worlds

  • Shape language, hierarchy, colour, lighting and iteration

CONSULTING AND PROJECT REVIEWS

I provide structured external feedback for projects in development, pre-production or production.
 

The review focuses on narrative clarity, visual direction and emotional impact. It can include annotated feedback, written recommendations and a discussion with the team.

 

Materials can include:

  • Concept art

  • Character and environment design

  • Pitch decks and presentation materials​
